US - No music options to load songs? iHeartRadio?

Thought that in the US, Garmin partnered with iHeartRadio for downloading music to the 645. When I go into the music settings on Garmin Connect Mobile (iOS), there are no options, even though I have the iHeartRadio app installed. Clicking on "Get Music Apps" brings me to a blank page in the Connect app store.

Is music not fully operational yet?

Have you checked Garmin Express? Is there an option there for loading music? With space for gbytes of data, USB would be much faster than transfering from a phone over BT

Update: in the sticky here with the link for the manual, there's something about this - "Downloading personal audio content"

Can’t you just drag mp3s to the watch when it’s attached to USB? I’m guessing that should work!

I cannot get onto iHeartRadio yet either as it does not find the app under a Music option or under its search in the device menu. I assume you have to carry your phone for that or try to stream when in a wifi location?

I can get mp3's via the Garmin Express ok and that works fine.

IHeart is likely the same as Deezer, and it's still a "coming soon" feature, and a CIQ app will be involved. See the link I posted a few posts back.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Was trying to load dynamic playlists from iHeart, not personal music from my computer. The idea is that iHeart (or Deezer) allows you to download tracks from their service as long as you pay their monthly service fee.

Guess we’ll just have to wait for Garmin to release that functionality.

On the one hand doing streaming services via IQ apps makes it easier to add more down the line, on the other why announce 2 specific ones at launch if they don't have their apps ready when time to ship comes along.

Have a feeling that Garmin will release a new update this week for the "official launch" of the 645... It's unfortunate because this is just a repeating pattern of a product being shipped without finalized firmware/features. Doesn't leave a good first impression...again. :-)

We expect the app to be available soon and we will update this thread to include steps on how to do this once the app is posted.

Garmin 645 Music owner here... any word on the music app or apps? I'm still not seeing anything available in the Connect IQ store to integrate music.
