Training Workout Question for Forerunner 235

Hi folks

This may not be possible but I wanted to at least check the masses

I wanted to create a Fartlek workout that would have this repeating routine: 4 minutes run, 1 minute recover, 1 minute run 3 minutes recover. I want to have this routine to repeat for a total of 3 miles., then a 1 mile cooldown.  I have no problem creating that repeating routine you would to repeat it for 'X' amount of times. How do I create a workout that would run that routine for 'X' distance? Usually things are delineated for time or distance but wasnt sure if there would be a way to combine those two attributes within a single workout. Thanks!

    Don't think there's a way to configure that. I think you'll have to set up the repeats but keep a manual check on the distance to see when your 3 miles is complete.

  • No way that I am aware of either.   Often I have created a routine of 10x intervals... when I know I likely will only do 6-8x.  When done I just hit the lap button a bunch until my cooldown.  You could just keep doing the intervals and watch your total distance length on one of your screens, then hit lap.  

    Another option is if I know roughly what my 'fast' and 'easy' paces will be, I can figure out how far I will end up going and how many Reps I need.
