unknown character

I bought a Garmin Forrunner 235 from amazon. I am very disappointed that it can not show Chinese character and only show english language when I chatting with some friends. It is very annoying that it shows unknown character. My iphone can show both chinese and english but this forrunner 235 can not. Can anyone help me to fix this problem?

The second problem is that it sound when it enter power saving mode. Can anyone help me to set up to mute the power saving mode sound?

There are APAC versions (Asian-Pacific) and ROW versions (Rest of World). For Chinese, sounds like you should get the APAC version with Chinese. APAC devices have different part numbers and different FW than ROW versions, with a big difference being supported languages. Getting an APAC version is the fix.

The APAC versions are called ForeAthlete 23x, and note that it may not be one device, as with some watches, there may be one for Chinese, one for Korean, one for Japanese, etc
