Memory capacity for storing activities files ?

I just wonder how many activities, or how many hours of activities FR235 can holds.

Do I need to manually delete the old activities when the memory is almost full or it will just overwrite the old files, and how can I check that memory is almost full ?

I afraid that in the middle of the race, FR235 will not continue to record the activity as the memory is full. Is that possible to happen ?
  • Per the Forerunner 235 spec page, 200 hours of activity data. Per the Forerunner 235 manual, when your device memory is full, the oldest data is overwritten.

You do not need to worry unless you are running the worlds longest race ever (200 hours+)! As long as your watch sync's regularly (via Bluetooth with your phone or when you charge via usb) you really have to do nothing. Once you've sync'd, your data is in the cloud (Connect IQ). You could reset your watch to factory defaults (essentially deleting all your data from the watch) but the previously sync'd data up on Connect will remain. You will never need to delete activities from your watch if you sync regularly (which you will because you will need to charge eventually).
