Estimated time of complete training for example 5km

Hello,

is it possible to run function where Garmin 235 give me the estimated time when I finish for example 5km run?
For example I'm running 5 minutes / 1km and I want see that all distance 5km is for me 25 minutes.

Is it possible?

Thanks!

Are you talking about an instantaneous running pace of 5′00″ (per km), which can change from one second to the next, or your average pace for the first kilometre in a tracked run?

If it's the former, and you want to base your estimate of the finishing time for a 5km run solely on it (and not even taking into account distance already run and time already spent), then it will just keep changing.

If it's the latter, it'd generally be a poor estimate based on the questionable assumption that you'll maintain exactly the same performance for the entire 5km run, when neither the terrain yet to be covered nor your endurance is taken into account.

    With all that said,

    Is it possible?

it is entirely possible to implement whatever finishing time estimation logic you want with a Connect‑IQ data field for it.

Do you mean something other than what you get if you press...

Start / Down / Down / Start / Down / Down / Down / Start / Down / Down / Start....and then press Start when you set off.

Based on distance remaining and pace it'll give you estimated 5k time and distance countdown.
  • What above poster is talking about is the Finish Time feature on you watch.

Press: Start>Menu>Training>Finish Time and then select a distance.
