Can we monitor stock and prices please. www.Bournesports.co.uk is offering cheapest pre-release price I can find at £255+Delivery but they don't offer the red variant, or http://www.humberrunner.co.uk/ ~ £260 inc delivery.
Release date on both sites has changed over the weekend from 31st October to 6th November/shipping early November. Garmin UK says retail price is £270. Amazon.com has them at $330 which is about £215 with a release date of 2nd December. Neither Garmin UK or US showing a release date yet.

Wow, just got mine delivered about half an hour after my previous post!!!

charged it up and synced up.

Two things I'm going to really miss coming from the Fitbit, automatic stair count, and water consumption monitor.
  • At this moment is appears REI.com has the black/gray and frost-blue 235 in stock. They'd been out of stock earlier in the day so they must have gotten a shipment in.

  • I was told by REI (in store) that the 235 will be an online-only product. Can someone else confirm that for me?
  • Well, REI's website says "online only"... What more confirmation do you need?

The 225 said "Online only" on their site for the first month or two, but by August they were selling them in store.
  • Yep, and the same thing may happen with the 235. Or it may not. Anyone who is able to predict the future with any reliability isn't hanging around here.

Marketing plans are generally about as firm as warm jello. Even if REI has no plans to ever carry it in-store, that can and will change the moment they feel there's enough in-store demand to justify the change. Same in reverse if they do plan to bring it in-store in time. So any answer about the future has about as much chance of being right as being wrong.
