Edge 1000 and Pixel 4a - Cannot Complete Pairing

My Edge 1000, on software version 15.50, will not pair with my Pixel 4a. Both devices are fully updated/patched.

The Bluetooth pairing works independently of the Garmin Connect.

When I use Garmin Connect, it goes through the motions stating "Completing setup of your Edge 1000 device", but after a minute it states "Pairing failed. Setup was not successful".

Can anyone help, please?

Sadly, I fixed this problem. Sad, because I still don't know what the problem was.

Solved via a Factory Reset on the Edge 1000 - so all settings were lost. I deleted (Forget) the Bluetooth entry on the Pixel 4a.

But hey, I was ready to get rid of the Garmin or the phone, so it's a good result.
