I have searched online and come up with contradictory answers and instructions that don't pan out successfully.
Is it possible to send a course to the Edge 1000 wirelessly?
Thanks for any replies!

Seems like it should -- but somehow no instructions that actually work. Maybe the feature got discontinued or something.
yeah it's possible, here how I do it since forever!
connect the edge to the pc and with garmin express set the home wifi, automatically every time you finish a ride and enter home, the edge will upload by itself the ride using wifi.
regard your problem, from the connect website, create or select a ride/segment, select the send to device button and when you turn on your device, it'll download via wifi the ride/segment
btw, using the app is the same thing, when turned on, automatically connects with the phone and will download any ride/segment that you selected on the website as send to device
If the route is on RideWithGPS, then yes, you can send it to the Edge 1000 wirelessly. It does work. Instructions are here: https://ridewithgps.com/help/garmin-courses
You don't need to download the IQ app. The functionality is built-in.
