Garmin Edge 1000 - Charging problem

Since last weekend, my garmin edge 1000 can no longer be charged.
In the display is alternately the message "External power supply on" and "External power supply off".

I have then installed a new battery. But unfortunately the problem persists. Charging the Garmin is not possible.

Has anyone had this problem on before?

Have you tried another wall charger?

Sounds like either the charging circuitry has gone faulty or the micro usb socket has a loose connection.

Thanks for your answer.

Yes I have tried another charger and some other things like

Reset with pressing 10 sec. the On/Off button
Reset to the factory settings with the functional in the settings
Pressing the buttons lap and start/stop while I plug in the charging carbel

So I guess I'll have to replace the the micro usb socket.
