TBT navigating a Course

Hi,
I am having a problem with the TBT and map display at junctions when navigating a Course.
Last weekend, I decided to navigate a circular course created on Garmin Connect, I didn't have any TBT or junction display instructions at all!
I then created a Course of my commute to work and another for the route back to see what happened, maybe a setting wasn't correct, still no TBT and map display at junctions.

On the fly, I set the Garmin to navigate home and great, I had a route and TBT with map junction display! I revert back to the course and everything disappears.
Am I missing something here...
  • IDK if this is your issue, but I've found that if I plan a circular course and pass close the planned finish at the start, it assumes I've finished the course. Now, when I lay out a course that returns to the start, I lay it out so that it ends some distance before overlapping with the start so that when I'm departing I don't pass too close to it. Several hundred yards or more is sufficient. If I'm planning an out and back that overlaps, I lay it out as two courses, one out and one back.
  • Thank you Looigi, the course start and finish was along the same stretch of road for about 2 Miles to get back to my village. I think the culprit was that I found ‘Turn Guidance’ set to off in the Navigation-Courses-Saved Courses burger menu.
I suspect a recent firmware update toggled this off.
