Hi, recently bought the 820 and looked into the FTP Test. Not sure how to understand the steps. It says for the steps...: Ride 4:00 10sec Power Zone XYZ. Is that 10s within the 4 minutes? That wouldn't quite be an FTP test then? Or is it 4min in each step in that one zone and ignoring the 10s?
The UI is confusing you a little. The 10 sec power is what it is reporting. e.g. it is displaying a 10 second rolling average of the power you are producing. This is to smooth the value out and make it a little easier to stay within the specified power band or range.
The test is using a Firstbeat protocol and is looking for some marker in the way your HRV data changes under stress so uses a process more akin to a stress test.
So, do you think it's a reliable test compared to the Coggan test? Because next week i need to make a test ftp on the road witha Cogaan metod but maybe will rain so i have thinked to make the 820 test indoor
