Setting Live Segmens to PR

Reading the strava website it states....

•During the segment, you can choose which effort to be compared against. You will always be able to select the KOM/QOM, and you could also have your PR, your goal, or the time from a friend who’s a little faster than you. The default priority is as follows:

1.Goal (If you have one set for the segment)
2.Rival (Next person above you that you're following on the leaderboard)
3.PR
4.KOM/QOM

.....thing is I only want to see my PR. Is there a way to set it so it only shows that, I don't to be faffing about when riding?
  • Yep. Set a goal equal to your PR with a long time to achieve it (say 6 months or more).

This is how I do it. Then the 520 defaults to your goal time and when you beat it, simply set a new goal in Strava and wait for it to sync across. No messing with the 520, everything is managed through Strava.

One thing I found is if you have a goal against a starred segment and don't want it to show up on your 520, unstar the segment and delete the goal. If you only unstar it and leave the goal, it will continue to show up.

Thanks. Haven't tried yet but have set PR's so should do the trick no problem. One thing I've noted is that I don't have the option to set goals on all the segments. Can't see any particular reason or pattern why you can on some but cant on others?
  • If you can set goals then you must already be a Premium Strava member.

Check whether the segment is uphill or downhill. If the average percent grade for the segment is less than -0.25%, Strava won't let you set a goal.
