Setting wheel size in Edge 520 for indoor trainer. (2,025mm - not 2,096)

Hello to you, :)

I use an Edge 520 in the last couple of months and still have not managed to configure a wheel-size (circumference) in the speed sensor for indoor training. I need to define a circumference of 2,025 mm. not ~2,100 like in the road bike, speed is measured by GPS.

I do not have the wheel size config. option in my Edge 520. Garmin support have instructed me to do it via the Connect Ap. though I do not have the wheel size parameters for change there either.

I upgraded the SW to 3.6 in the Garmin Express on my computer yesterday, did all possible sinc's though the version of Garmon Connect on my mobile remained 3.5.. - if this matters.

Will appreciate your help on that :)

Thanks!

The sensor needs to be connected to the 520 in order to change the wheel size. With the sensor connected you will find the setting under sensor details in the menu.
  • To manually enter wheel size on an Edge 520, 1000, or Edge Explore 1000:

    Select Settings
    Select Sensors
    Select speed sensor
    Select Sensor Details
    Select Wheel Size
    Select Manual
    Enter in wheel size
This wheel size will now be used to determine speed and distance values.

    - Could you please instruct me how to get the sensor connected ?

I tried.. the 520 indicated that it's trying to connect but it did not work

While *not* connected, of the below list, under sensor-details I do *not* have wheel related parameters

    Thanks again.
