Recover activity from TPT_BACKUP_FILE ???

Just back in from a ride, and my 520 froze at the coffee shop. Had to hold the power button to get it to respond, but now there is no activity of .fit file.
There does seem to be a file TPT_BACKUP_FILE_72.bak which was created at the time of the coffee stop, and looks about the right size. Anyone know if there is a way to recover the data from this? Typically it was for a good strong ride (and winning the town sprint:cool:)

The TPT file does not contain ride data. It is temporary file that is created if you power a unit off while following a course. It contains track points.
