Edge 520 resets settings after software update

During the two software updates I've done on my 520 since I've had it for a few weeks now, it seems to reset certain settings every time. For example, I have only 2 activity profiles setup (Indoors and Outdoors). After every software update, I have those, plus the default new ones Indoor, Train, and Race. After a software update it shouldn't create these again. Also, it resets my FTP and Heart Rate zones. Does this happen to anyone else? Is this a bug or what?

The update added a "race" profile. My existing profiles were "train", "train cx", "indoor" and "race cx". The power zones and HR zones were reset during the update. But you can get them back by clicking on the "Sync" button in Garmin Express.

I also got new profiles " Indoor, Train, and Race".

Had to go through and delete them as I don't want them. At least my custom ones were still there. Other than that, seems all good after a sync.

Although I don't have a 520, I've had a 510, 810 and a 1000. The default profiles come back after every firmware update. Annoying, yes.

Yes it put the default profiles back it doesn't delete only of your sensors or customer screens, they are still there
  • also lost time

mine also loses the correct timezone which then leads to a corrupt activity, because the 520 then corrects it once it got satellites during the activity... also very annoying
