Edge 25 fully charged? No prompt when fully charged?

Hi all !
I just bought an Edge 25 a couple of days and when i charged it (iphone 5s charger) there was no progress bar or percentage shown like on the forerunner 220, just the battery pic showing it was charging. After like two hours after having to disconnect every once and a while to check how the charge was going on the home screen the battery meter seemed to be full in the home screen but if i connected the charger again it displayed the same image like if it was charging. I thought maybe it had to something with the fact that i was using the iphone charger so i plugged it in to my macbook air and the charging page came up with the same image showing it was charging.

Is this normal? If it is I hope garmin gives us a fix for this on a future update.

That is how it is supposed to work. Honestly if you can return the Edge 25 and get something better you should do that. There has not been a update in two years and there will likely not be any in the future. They still sell the device, but they are clearly not developing for it anymore.
