Data field shows a "!" suddenly after a few km

This issue has been occurring with some IQ apps for a few months. For example, with the "My Edge 2" "Power Bike" app, an exclamation point appears on the screen where I entered this data field and it stops recording the additional data field.

I have installed and uninstalled many times, I have made updates but the problem persists. The historic reliability of these products (Edge) is fading!

while the screen was displaying (!) it did not register. I clicked to re-enter the IQ app and it started recording again.

  • Exclamation mark usually means the data field crashed. Report it to the developers.

Have you updated the data fields and the Edge to the latest version?

I can't find "My Edge 2" in Connect IQ and "Power Bike" has changed name to "Power Edge Pro TT". There haven't been any new reviews for 2 years so it isn't used that much, but it is updated recently which is good.

  • The developers are aware of this problem and attribute it to Connect IQ but in my case the application starts without problems and works normally for a few km.

Sometimes the exclamation point doesn't appear and works for the entire ride. So the problem is the firmware or the connection?!

Read "install note N.3" of this other data field (many apps have this problem)

Are they aware of the specifics of your problem? Have you sent them all the details and how you make it start to work again?
