stamina on a 1030?

Hello everyone,

I recently noticed that the new Fenix 7 has been released with the ability to support the Stamina feature, but the Edge 1030 does not. As someone who enjoys long-distance cycling and would benefit greatly from this feature, I'm wondering if anyone has any insights into why this might be the case.

Could it be a hardware limitation? Or perhaps a decision based on the intended use case of each device? I'm curious to know if anyone has any information or theories about this.

It isn't a feature on the Edge 1030. You need to upgrade to 1040 to get Stamina.

It might be possible to calculate the stamina on 1030, but it is now an old device and it is unlikely it will get any new functions.

I also think that 1030 is really good. No point in upgrading for a while. Maybe to the future 1050...

The workaround for you is to use both Edge and Fenix during the ride. Edge is for navigation and viewing values during the ride. Then only save on the Fenix and discard on Edge. That way you will get the extra analysis data logged.

Would you lose anything by saving only the fenix? Training plans or whatever advantage the edge offers will still be featured the next ride?
