Yes it is a shame you can't turn off this stupid feature anymore.

unfortunately much to my dismay there has never been one. you can only remove the datascreen though the vp is still enabled

ok thanks. that's a shame it was really easy to turn on/off on my Edge 1000. cheers

I don't even remember being able to turn it off on the Edge1000 either. Though it is a couple of years ago since I had that model & the memory is a bit woolly

Yep definitely could. Also checked my 820 this morning, definitely can on that too

Not being able to turn off the virtual is considered a main feature by Garmin...
