Suggestion: Mountain bike corners

I'd really like to be able to diagnose whether my overall ride time is improving because of increased pace in straight segments or increased speed while taking corners.

I think this would be useful output for people, like me, who are actively trying to improve their turning technique. I know this feature would be immensely helpful for me to be able to monitor my turn efficiency over time.

As an output at the end of the activity the Garmin app could report how my turn times had improved and how many seconds or minutes my overall ride improved by due to better bike handling around corners.

  • Are you talking about the corners of the same route you ride or in general? If it is the first you can create your own segments in Strava, if it is the latter I can't figure out how that is going to work. Measure the speed in a corner? Acceleration? In my experience in mountain biking it depends highly of the condition of the track/weather.
