Courses Garmin 1030 has a problem

I made three courses and want them to get on the garmin 1030. So i placed them on newfiles. But every time there is only 1 on the Garmin and when i try it again with the lacking courses, the first has gone. What's getting wrong? Is there a maximum? I have now 20 courses on my garmin 1030.

Do they start with the same set of characters? Not sure what the limit is but the edge doesn't take the whole filename into account when looking for duplicates, only the first part.

The devices ignore the part of the name after 15 characters. So, if the first 15 chars are the same, the units seem them as the same course.

Note that it takes the name from data inside the file (not from the file name). That means you have to change the course name from whatever you used to create the file.

(It is possible to the edit TCX and GPX files. They are just text.)

As stated above the course name is taken from tagged data inside file. The Edge will use the file name if the course name tag is missing from the file.
