Hello everybody,
I have an Edge 1030, before I already had an Edge 1000, and on the way I constantly have the problem that the Edge often navigates me on a completely different route than the one I defined in Garmin Connect. As long as I know the area, I can live with it, but if I don't know the area, it's really annoying and I don't have a clue what the cause is and what the solution to the problem is.
When I create a track in Garmin Connect it is defined for road bike and "navigate on the road". With these specifications I create my tracks. I have activated all avoidances on the Edge, including the avoidance of narrow paths. Route guidance.
Settings Routing:
Routing by popularity: on
Routing Mode: Road Bike
Calculation method: minimize distance
Show on street: off
Set up avoidances: all enabled
Recalculation: automatic
As soon as I'm on my way, the Edge often leads me through neighbourhood streets or over paths/cycling paths, sometimes even unpaved ones, which annoys me enormously and has interrupted me several times in the rhythm and additionally cost me unwanted kilometres/ ascents etc..
I would be very happy if someone could help me here and eliminate these annoyances in the future.
Thank you very much.
