You are asking for what the old way used to be. Then when people were moving sensors around (HRM, edge remote, radar, light) it was a mess. years ago Garmin did away with that and made sensors independant of the bike. Whatever sensor is detected it will use. For most user this is far better. If your use case is different then you may need to turn off sensors you don't need, for example if you share one of your bikes with a riding partner that also pair the same sensors to it's own Edge. But this is a rare use case.
