7.50 feedback

Hi,

Ive just purchased a 1030 having had a 1000. Its loaded with software 6.30. After past bad experiences with updating edge devices how is everyone finding 7.50?

    I discovered that since going to 7.50 with the latest maps, the unit crashes when calculating a route to some POIs, the TBT freezes occasionally,

    I have a separate thread about broken TBT. I have discovered that if you start a course and start the ride, when TBT fails to begin if I do a hard reboot (push the power button until the Garmin restarts), then TBT will start working after the Garmin restarts and I resume the ride.

    Not sure why my reply was duplicated 3 times. Anyways, like I said, when updating to 7.50 and the latest maps at the same time, the unit crashes when navigating to some POIs. It indicates route calculation errors on some others. If you routinely navigate to POIs you may want to avoid updating to 7.50. Maybe it is the latest map that has problems and not  SW... not sure.

    My old problems, which where solved with 7.30 came back with 7.50 (segments not stopping, "Time Ahead" jumping and rout calculation errors. But only in segments

    Thanks for the feedback on 7.50, think I'll wait for a proper functioning release. Suffered too much upset previously and as my replacement is working fine I'll sick with it

    amb67: I've had the screen header frozen on prev FW as well. Seems to be related to declining navigation to start of route ...
