I have been using the round trip route creator and found some issues with elevation - I wondered if anyone else had similar experience and knows of a fix.
The first problem is the estimated elevation change when the route is created, I have found that there is a very large error between the estimate and then what I actually climb when I follow the course, almost as much as 50% under estimated.
Also the elevation graphical display will only show what I have done and not what is ahead on the course.
I don’t have these issues when I import a route, all features then work as expected.
Im finding this to be a real pain as I like the round trip creator with its route trending but it’s a real bug not knowing what elevation to expect.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I have tried Garmin support chat function, they said to return my 1030 to the retailer. ????
