LiveTrack Issues

I just bought an Edge 1030 a few weeks ago, and I've not yet had Livetrack work, it cuts out a few minutes after I start it and never reconnects.

Details:

* Firmware 5.0 on the Edge 1030
* All sensors are ANT+ (HR, Speed, Cadence), no BLE sensors at all
* Latest Garmin Connect for iOS
* iOS 11.4 on an iPhone 6S
* Before I started the Livetrack, I went into bluetooth settings on my phone and made sure both "BT_Edge 1030" and "Edge 1030" said "Connected"
* Opened Garmin Connect after checking the bluetooth connection settings
* I started the Livetrack on my phone, then rode for a few blocks, then pressed start on my Edge 1030

I'm 0 for 3 attempts so far.

Any ideas?
  • Same here, LiveTrack is very buggy even with firmware 8.11 beta on my 1030. My 530 with the latest FW is buggy as well.

  • Now that 9.0 is released give this a try and update your comments. Make sure your cell phone has good data connection, live track relies on it. Also the Garmin Connect Mobile app must be loaded on the phone for connected features to work (iPhone at least).

  • Mmm a safety feature that relies on a good data connection and GCM running??? In case of a cardiac arrest or something also in which it matters I continu to put my money on the people in the neighborhood/passing by.

    buddy of mine has the same issue with his 1030  Every ride i track him at some point the signal is lost and never reconnects. His girlfriend at home says when she looks to see where he is, she gets the same "no signal. trying to reconnect" but it never reconnects.  You find a solution?
