Evening Report Daily Suggested Workouts screen says "TODAY'S SUGGESTIONS" upon re-opening

When the Evening Report is first displayed the screen listing the following day's Daily Suggested Workouts says "UPCOMING SUGGESTIONS" in the heading which is fine.

However, if I close the Evening Report, and then open it again by scrolling up from the watch face (for example if I missed it the first time, or want to have another look at the suggestions when planning my training) it then says "TODAY'S SUGGESTIONS" which is clearly wrong. It should either still say "UPCOMING SUGGESTIONS" or "TOMORROW'S SUGGESTIONS" or some such.

This was initially a little bit confusing until I clicked in to it and then it correctly showed "TOMORROW", although it is curious why it only say's TOMORROW and not TOMORROW'S SUGGESTIONS. There isn't any extra information on the detail screen so it seems pointless. Perhaps if it were possible to scroll forward and see suggestions for future days (and previous days) this screen would have merit, and be quite useful, but as it stands it serves no purpose.

My new forerunner 970 has an issue where when I’m scrolling through the glances, it’ll sometimes act as if I clicked on a glance while I’m just scrolling. I notice there’s like a micro lag when this happens. Almost like it stops registering the scroll and registers a touch instead

had This issue on 3 Watches already.

Which might suggest a manufacturing issue and why Garmin exchanges watches with the issue. Afaik calibration happens during manufacturing and there isn't a way for a user to adjust it. I think it would be a useful feature 🙂

It’s rather latest serial numbers with the problem. When I was replacing mine, guys in the store tested with me 5-6 different watches. Only the oldest serial number worked.

I have also experienced this issue. I have tried everything that Garmin's website have asked me; Cleaned the barometer port several times, cleaned the whole watch, recalibrated the barometer several times. The floors climbed error occures every time I'm out.

After 17.33 updated i get abnormal floors climbed results. Checked the port and cleaned it, but still the same results on some days i get 130 floors some days 90, but always over 20 when i barely go up 2 floors of stairs a day.

I have this kind of issue for a few months, tried to reach the garmin support but had a lazy and useless response.

I do most of my runs on a beach path, totally flat most of the time and every activity is recorded with 200m - 300m+ elevation gains.
In that time I did two races with official altimetry data.
Berlin Half Marathon - official elevation gain 14m - garmin recorded 244m
London Marathon - official elevation gain 85m - garmin recorded 273m

The issue seems to be worse in the summer due to higher temperature, but even these past races in colder temps showed a bad accuracy.
During this time I have been using different versions, get in and out of beta, tried to clean the watch multiple times and nothing really helps, now I am on a 46-day floor climbed streak and that does not make any sense.

I have the same problem. Since the latest update, the altimeter has been showing completely inaccurate readings. It’s as if it has become hypersensitive. One of the things that caught my attention the most is that, during the night, even though the watch is in a room with no air conditioning or fans, the altitude reading starts jumping by 30 to 40 meters every night while I’m asleep.

I’ve been a Garmin user for many years, and I have enough experience with the accuracy of its watch altimeters to confidently say that this latest firmware version clearly has a problem in this area.

There’s clearly an issue with the 17.33 update regarding barometer/altimiter. I’ve never used my watch for swimming, I don’t wear it when I shower and I look after it and it’s less than 6 months old. Day I updated it’s been useless regarding elevation /floors climbed ever since. Makes you wanna buy a coros.

For those that do not swim with your watch, we recommend the following:

Cleaning the Barometer Sensor Port
Cleaning the watch thoroughly
Additional cleaning by placing the watch in a cup of water after each activity recorded while showering

Based on our investigation, proper cleaning and ongoing care of the barometric altimeter sensor is the primary recommendation for this behavior.

If you have used your device for swimming and are experiencing elevation discrepancies, it is crucial that you regularly perform proper cleaning and care as described in:

Additionally, after performing and activity where the watch is exposed to chlorine, be sure to follow the supplementary cleaning instructions described in Cleaning Your Watch After Swimming.

This affects me too. On rides I use an edge 840 and a forerunner 970. Going straight uphill on a decent climb they show much the same gain. However on the flat or gently undulating terrain the 970 shows way more elevation gain. Indeed it can show significant gains (up to 50-60 meters) on perfectly flat sections.

You would imagine that everything on the screen would be readable , but no. The statics are sometimes too much from left to right. So, when I have the statics for (an)aeroob I see this: anaeroob 3. And there it ends. Not that important, but annoying especially with the top Forerunner watch.

I had a FR 970 and since a week my workouts D+ (elevation) are completely wrong. I clean the hole sensor and did the calibration again. The problem is not solved. It seems a bug of the version 17.37 of the firmware.

Same here, been emailing support due to the 970 is the worst 9 series I’ve had regarding elevation. But never anything wrong with it, always 100+ m of elevation more than other services.

I have been trying to upload a video, but I can't somehow. I have tried with "insert" but that's the end of it. I have the video on my device in the "gallery" , but whatever I try I cannot get it here . Any suggestions ?

My 970 won’t play the metronome.
I’ve tried tone and tone and vibrate.

Only the vibration comes through.

I paired it with my Shokz Bluetooth headphones.
The run details such as pace and HR were broadcasting as usual.

The metronome has one job:

beep or vibrate reliably at a configurable interval.

I do not really care if it is exactly 170bpm or whatever i configure, but it seems the cpu of my 750€ watch is busy doing something that prevents it beeping at the correct time.

it basically beeps randomly just making sure it beeped 170 times per minute, not every time 1/170 of a minute.

I joined the beta program to hope to resolve other issues, and have attempted to post his twice there but it goes into moderation and never posts to the Garmin team. SO strange, anyway I am posting here in the event it can reach an ear in here:

The Metronome is NOT working at all on the 970. It beeps at no logical intervals and is not useful.

As this is an important feature to train cadence, I think it should be fixed. It is still not fixed on version

Mine doesn’t work either. Tone gives me nothing. Time and vibrate gives vibrate only.

My theory is that it's due the Sapphire screen and calibration issues. Maybe even inconsistencies in the Sapphire.

Power from cross country skiing is gone! I went roller skating today. During the workout, I specifically looked at the power on the watch, but when saving the workout, grameen does not write it to the fit file and does not display it in indicators. The bug is in this.
