It works very well, but I'm missing the body temperature sensor, which would be useful for my health issues. However, I don't like the 970 at all and it's too expensive. The Fenix 8 is significantly down in price, but the stores I usually go to aren't stocking the solar version, only the AMOLED one. I'd like the Enduro 3, but it's too big for my wrist. The Instinc is aesthetically too bulky and doesn't have maps. That is a pool length often used so that 3 lengths = 100m. if so, 60 lengths would = 2000m (plus it mistakenly added a length as noted). Being off by a length in a continuous swim of that length can easily happen by having to pass someone, slow down or stop and then accelerate, hitting hand against the lane line, scratching an itch etc. You can check the individual lap durations in GC to see where it may have added (or lost) lengths.

RE: Track Run calibration issues

Try it here Track Viewer
Please note that is my private app which could be removed at any time.

I still have several questions to be perfectly clear:

1. Say I've done a calibration on a track in lane 1. Do I need to actively press settings to manually change lane whenever I do or will the watch figure it out itself? (i.e. warmup & cooldown lane 4, work intervals lane 1)

2. Do I need to recalibrate the Track Run profile when I go to another *uncalibrated* track? If so, it would be restore to default settings, then? Or the alternative is to copy paste Track profile so I have *separate* ones? I'm skeptical on the claim "... the profile can store up to 10 different tracks ..."

More on later, thank you.

Connect IQ data fields are unreachable

Hi,

I have a couple of Connect IQ data fields installed. They worked on a 1-field data field just fine. I then did a factory reset of the activity (road cycling), when I want to set up a new 1-field data field now, only 2 out of the 5 Comnect IQ data fields are availabe for selection. When I select 2-field data field, all 5 are available to be selected. But also only for the bottom one, not the top one.

Yes, I'm aware that you can only use max 2, Connect IQ data fields at once, that's a different question though.

I contacted Garmin via X and the recommended me to upgrade again to 27.09 via Garmin Express. For me, that fixed the problems (at least for now 24 hours in).
Is there a chance you have changed that by accident?

In FR955 --> Menu --> System --> Hot Keys --> Hold DOWN --> Music

Then my second assumption is that you have in Garmin Connect app on your phone Installed Spotify. Main screen --> Device --> Pick FR955 --> Music --> Music Providers --> Spotify / Installed, and your Wi-Fi settings are also up to date and correct. There are currently only two standard tracks in this greater city while many of the rest aren't calibrated to standard or simply just dirt surface.
Yes this track exists in global database as GPS track is "smooth".

No wiggles between each 1 second registered locations.

Lane change - great news. I was not sure if that works, as I was focus on fixing my local track definition.

In your area there are 3 tracks in global database:

Interesting is that selected Lapangan Rampal which has non-standard length of 500m and that should match each lap with GSP correctly.

RE: Track Run calibration issues

1. Where exactly do I know this on? If you mind sharing so.
2. Speaking of it, after questioning I already ran, tested, & experimented with Track Run profile in Garmin:
a. About lane switch, I manually change and select the corresponding lane whenever I do, i.e. selecting lane 1 for active reps workout, then changing to lane 6-8 while at rest period, repeat. It seems working well after my concern in this post and have been using this method to this day. You could see the changes in the picture.
