Another issue I've noticed after the 12.23 update (coming from 12.20 beta) is with SatIQ.
I have Run, Bike, and Walk activities set to Automatic (SatIQ). Since the update, getting location takes minutes (or sometimes not at all) with SatIQ enabled. If I switch to any other settings (including solely GPS), I can get a location lock almost immediately, and then switch back.
I typically start runs within the same ~2 mile distance (work and home), so it shouldn't have this much trouble getting a signal, as if I had gone a far distance between runs. Manually syncing with Garmin Express (as recommended in https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=xQvHXbfaT27Zr4hxZDvjv5) doesn't make any difference. Though the article is for the Instinct, I assume EPO/CPE data syncing is the same for all.
Edit 9/6 - Possible that this was a satellite/EPO/CPE issue? With no changes to the phone or watch firmware, SatIQ is suddenly working as expected yesterday (9/5).
