Configure distance before "turn alert"?

I just got an FR955 solar. I use my old Edge520 as external display. when navigating to a precreated route, I get alerts "waypoint icon with right turn" for example, but usually, exactly at the location. I would like to configure the alert so it happens sooner. Is this possible?

I think it is supposed to give you heads up (distance to heads up depending on your speed, so it would be like constant time, not distance based as it really depends on your speed) and then turn now, but it usually seems to lag and it's like heads up comes when you should be turning and the turn now comes after the turn.

So sorry, I don't think you can configure that.
