No LTE reception for Turkey

I have an LTE subscription for my Forerunner 945 LTE in Turkey, but the watch never gets an LTE signal.

Before I bought it, Garmin's coverage map showed that Turkey was supported for LTE coverage. However, despite having an active subscription, LTE has never worked.

At this point, I feel like I threw my money away.

Bug with Assistance Plus notifications

I recently traveled out of country to Italy where Assistance plus is not available (and maybe not LTE?).

Anyways, I ran into an issue with the notification that popped up declaring that Assistance plus is not available in my location. It was completely impossible to dismiss it. Not using the button where the dismiss-checkmark was, not by pressing back, not by going through a menu. The only way I managed to get rid of it (and continue navigating my route ...) was by turning off the watch and turning it back on.

Thankfully my activity recovered, but that is not a great user experience.

Bonus was that the same thing happened when running back home again. The notification telling me that Assistance plus was available again - not dismissable ...

I get this is an older device, but I still pay monthly for the LTE and Assistance feature so an update with this fix would be great!

17.4 Update - Total Ascent Too High

My friend and I have a 945LTE that's consistently recording total ascent 200-250' too high on 60min runs after updating to Garmin 17.4 software a few weeks ago. The runs normally have 350' ascent and the last 8 runs have recorded around 550'. I've cleaned the barometer hole, recalibrate altimeter and soft reset the watch. Nothing helped.

How to fix the 3.00 WiFi bug?

Seem this mentioned a few times I appreciate the 945lte is old but managed to get a new one cheap.

it came with some old software version 4xxx but WiFi worked fine, I updated to 17.xx and now doesn’t find any WiFi networks.

The WiFi version is 3.00, I’ve read 4.00 fixes the issue but how do I update the WiFi?

My 945LTE just updated to 17.40

Is LTE connectivity still supported in UK ? Had issues with activation getting error code 216 telling me contact support . Asked support told me that LTE is no available in UK even map shows still is no mention on Connect app or Garmin website.

Triathlon activity not syncing FR 945 LTE

Hi all, I did a triathlon today and despite the activity is perfectly fine on my FR 945 LTE, it doesn'g sync to Garmin Connect, no matter what I try. I've done other triathlons in the past with no issues. I've tried it to upload it manually, but it tells me it doesn't support the file. So my guess it is a corrupted FIT-file? Is somebody able to repair the file? Thanks in advance.

My race prediction is not accurate, I understand that it is an estimate and that each person can get closer or further from that estimate... I have always had as a reference that in a 10k race I can do 1'30" faster than what the watch gave me (I always train with the HR band Pro plus)... and I do not expect it to be perfect, since I understand that is impossible, but I would like it to be more reliable, since in recent times due to my lack of training my prediction has gone down and this Sunday I ran a 10km race giving me a prediction of 42'50" with which I expected in the best of cases around 41'... the fact is that I finished with a time of 39'29"... that is, 3 minutes lower than the prediction... so I no longer know to what extent I can trust the race prediction... I do not understand how a platform like Garmin with so many metrics available doesn't make them more reliable...

945 LTE 17.30 Restarts about every minute during activity. What is the fix. I saw previous versions (17.28 also had this). Watch is up to date with updates (at least that is what Garmin express says). Nothing fancy installed.

Is this the end of the 945 LTE ?

Hello,

It's been months since the watch has received any update. Whereas other models from the same generation have.
Garmin makes no mention of its strategy regarding LTE technology. And no equivalent has been released for years.

Have you abandoned the product ?

945 LTE frozen during an update. Won't reset.

Major Safety Hole Regarding Assistance Plus Disabled After Watch Reset

I bought the 945 LTE a couple years ago and setup an LTE subscription and enabled Assistance Plus and never changed that setting. I use the Live Track/Live Event Sharing feature every time I'm out on a run/bike activity so my wife knows where I am and have assured her that I'd be able to signal for help if needed even when I'm traveling and away from my emergency contracts.

I had performed a full reset (Delete Data and Reset Settings) to clean up some erratic behavior and many months later I noticed when selecting the Assistance "widget" in the Controls menu, the indication was "Assistance" not "Assistance Plus". Opening the Assistance widget only gave me the option to contact my emergency contracts with the Emerg. Response option completely missing. I checked that the Assistance Plus setting in Garmin Connect Mobile (GCM) was enable (it was).

It wasn't until I stumbled upon the following thread:https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-945-lte/283434/assistance-plus - that I realized I had to perform the following steps to re-enable Assistance Plus:

Disable Assistance Plus in GCM
Back out of the Safety Features page
Sync the watch
Go back and re-enable Assistance Plus
Back out of the Safety Features page
Sync the watch

At that point, Assistance Plus was re-enabled on the watch.

This is absolutely a safety issue bug. For those few months after the reset, I had assumed the Assistance Plus feature was enabled on the watch since GCM said it was.

I did a triathlon yesterday. The acitivity got recorded on the watch but it is not syncing with Garmin connect. I tried uploading the fit file manually but it give an error "We don't support the file type you tried to import."
I tried using the fit file repair tool but could not get through. Kindly help. The file is uploaded on

Will Garmin share be coming to this watch? Its an essential feature to help friends load a map on their watch at the start point of any event.....

Likewise, settings backup and restore is a feature that even Fenix 6 has received but no luck on the LTE so far...

I personally consider the 945LTE to be the best forerunner yet, hope it gets these two important features

Setup completed, live track and live event sharing setup, invitations sent accept and map with pin in approximate location appears but no movement.

Smartwatch indicates activity run started, live track in progress; but control screen indicates lte: Standby = contradictory?

I spoke with Garmin support for 2 hours trying various settings changes etc. Conclusion the Lte signal strength is poor. Hmm. I live in northern RI, suburbs, iPhone Verizon service is good. I tried turning off LTE on Smartphone and carried iPhone and map tracking worked.

Original goal buying 945 lte version was to alleviate carrying iPhone.

Am I missing some setting change to get this to work without having to carry iPhone? Does Garmin have another plan to accommodate?

LTE fungerar inte på min 945 LTE och ingen verkar kunna svara på varför det inte fungerar. Ingen verkar veta när det kommer att fungera igen heller. Kan inte bara vara jag i hela världen som har en 945 LTE.

I've had my 945LTE since launch and usage generally unchanged throughout.

Today, out of nowhere, I've looked down and the watch has been off - twice so far. I hold power to turn it back on and it starts back up.

Battery is at 55% and firmware is latest (17.30).

I will continue to monitor, but it's unclear what's causing it to shutdown all of a sudden - no new updates, settings changes or usage changes I can recall.

It happened a 3rd time... all in the last 3 hours or so - and none that I recall in the previous years owning the watch. Weird?

And a 4th and 5th time still today (over... 6 hrs?)

Are you planning on releasing an update for the Forerunner 945 LTE like you did for other lower forerunner models? Or is this model trash and you're too shy to say it?

As we know that Forerunner 945 LTE has more better mainboard than other Forerunners and very smilar to Fenix but for some reason Garmin doesn't want to update this model. Why? Do you want us to sell or throw away this model? Is it because you accidentally released a model in the past that you were supposed to release in the very future? Maybe Fenix 8 pro LTE?

This updates only belongs to Forerunner 255 which is lower model than 945 LTE

My Forerunner 945 LTE disconnects and reconnects from Garmin 540 while broadcasting HR

My Forerunner 945 LTE will pair to my Edge 540 while broadcasting HR. However, it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting every couple seconds or more frequently. Anyone else have this problem? I'd like to use it as a backup to my chest strap when commuting or if I forgot it.

I also have this bug now, that occurred on other Forerunner models. Didn't find it in the 945 LTE forum yet.

Daily Suggestions have no entry for today and there's always rest day for tomorrow.

I think it was triggered by deleting an event on Garmin Connect web.
