FR935 Not Counting Steps

Over the past couple of months I have had multiple incidents where my FR935 will stop counting steps. Yesterday I did a triathlon and had the watch in triathlon mode and it counted my steps during the run. However; after that no additional steps were counted throughout the day. Each time I had to do a soft reset to get the watch to start counting again. I am running V21.0 firmware and unsure if anyone else is having this problem.

BTW - the same thing has happened to my wife's Vivoactive 4S.

Hopefully someone from Garmin support is monitoring the forum and can provide an answer/update.

Assuming this is during normal arm swing (not cycling) and you have not turned off activity tracking. Are steps showing up on the watch, but not on Garmin Connect, or not showing up anywhere? Possible solutions here:

Possibly, but if you want to be sure your issue gets noticed by Garmin, best to contact Garmin Support directly - https://support.garmin.com

I've been having the same thing happen with my 935. Can't say exactly when it started as I'd initially put it down to a "weirdy" before I realised the pattern, but definitely many months. It's always after a multisport activity and even though the run counts steps there is nothing recorded afterwards until I reboot the watch. Also version 21.

First tri in quite a while but still happening. Steps stop recording until watch is restarted after a multisport activity.

Same error happened to me - a restart fixed the issue.

Same every other day it is not counting steps.
It counts my cadence when running but not counting the steps... After a restart it starts counting steps again and then after a day or so the same thing happens again. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ kinda frustrating.

Any solution for this? I have same problem. Stops counting after multisport activity amongst other things
