Battery won't charge / watch won't switch off

Hi....my Garmin 735xt currently won't charge. It shows as full charge in the GPS area but not on the front face. Seems to be whenever there is an update. Is it worth doing a factory reset ? This happened before and it started working again a few days after the update had been added.?
Your help would be appreciated.

Have the same issue! since my last update Garmin 735xt sometimes won't charge or if it works than very very slow! When does the 735xt software run out of support???
