Start/stop button not functioning

Hello Garmin,

The right top button (start/stop) stopped working yesterday.  Is this a hardware problem or software problem?

  • Try rebooting the watch. If this does not help, then try a factory reset. And if this does not help either, then it's a hardware problem. Try soaking the watch for 30 minutes in lukewarm water with some mild detergent (regular soap should do). Shake it vigorously underwater several times during the procedure. DO NOT press any buttons when the watch is submerged. If this does not help, then your watch is permanently broken and needs to be replaced.
