Clear user data stuck when turning power on

I have done the latest update and since updating my back or lap button doesn’t work. I have held the power/light button to turn the 735xt off but when I turn on it has the clear user data? Screen with yes/no answer. If I answer no, the question keeps coming up. To try and get around this I answered yes which cleared the data but the clear user data came up again! Now if you answer yes or no it just returns to the same question!!!! Help

Hi, I ended up getting in touch with Garmin support. In the end they replaced the watch as it appears to be a common fault when being used for swimming.

If you want help from garmin, then you should be contacting garmin support.

Anyway, looks like one of the buttons is stuck, which is not uncommon for the 735XT.

Was your watch still under warranty? I'm working with Garmin support to resolve the same issue now.

I called the support and they replaced my unit. Only a month after receiving the replacement (refurbished watch), I started having the same issue. They replaced my unit again (received another refurbished watch). This seems to happen after I swim in the ocean. I have no trust in this watch, sadly. Good luck solving your problem.
