9.40 update issues

Since the software update, my Forerunner 735XT thinks it is 4 days and 6hrs in the past. It also keeps trying to connect and says it can't, but the app shows it is connected and the stats appear accurate. Tried a full reset, but the issues wont stop. Is my watch effectively bricked or is there a roll-back / correction option? The 735XT was kinda expensive....

  • And now it runs slow.... not sure how a digital watch connected to a smartphone starts to lose minutes but my watch is now 2min behind my phone....

  • Try the following:

    1. Reboot the watch.

    2. Make sure you have your time set to "Auto".

    3. Go outside and wait for a GPS fix. This should set the time to the correct value.

    If this does not resolve the clock issues, then I'd suggest contacting garmin support, as you watch might be defective.
