It has all the features I need for running, hiking and swimming which are the main activities I do.

Is the lack of an altimeter an issue? Is Garmin Connect able to provide accurate elevation gain without it?

RE: Is lack of barometric altimeter a disadvantage?

Hi, yes it's useful, otherwise elevation info come from GPS which is not accurate.

------------

All these Coros models are more interesting at reasonable price, Suunto is very interesting too

Pace 4 - all sensors + Music (but only MP3)

the two other models add maps and more features, for hiking i recommend the Nomad.
