This update can be downloaded with Garmin Express or automatically through Garmin Connect Mobile.

Change Log

Fix a lockup that could occur when saving an activity.
Fixed an intermittent issue where the device would error out when trying to sync a music playlist using Wi-Fi (music edition only)
Various CIQ improvements.
Various stability improvements.

I fixed that by using Garmin Express.

May I know how to upgrade to 6.40 from 5.90? I am using FR 645M (in Hong Kong) however the Garmin Express only detects to sync with 6.20. But there was an error during the installing.

Since this rolled out my battery life has completely gone. It went from 100% to 0% in two days. Yesterday evening i charged to 70% and its drained in less then 24 hours. Fix this please or its going back to the shop. I have not installed any new software and as a precaution uninstalled everything, males no difference

I was having similar problem. Do a soft reset. If it doesn't work then do a hard one and reinstall update.

when does this update come available in Asia? I just took a premium spotify account only to find out its not working in Asia because the 6.40 update isnt available over here..

Same here, need the APAC update ASAP. Is there some way to get the GUPDATE.GCD file and to manually install the update? I tried the same for the 6.36 but it is not working, seemingly because it does not for the APAC versions.

I have an APAC 645M in Bangkok. Spotify has been working on mine ever since I bought it. Currently I'm on 5.90. But it was very difficult to set up.

I bought this watch yesterday and today I received the 6.40 update and had the same problem, everything in my native language but the activities in English. Thanks for the suggestion Luca , problem solved ️

I bought this watch 2 weeks ago , before that I had 2 Garmin 245 music and it was a really bad experience. This one goes in the same way,the watch freeze when saving activities or when I scroll the widget's in the watch. 6.40 is the version of the system software
