GPS accuracy issues

GPS performance for my 645M doesn't seem right during my running. I use GPS + Glonass to only draw the map correctly, while I use Stryd footpod for distance/pace. EPO is always up to date and I use the latest firmware 3.10.

I also see that at the time my GPS goes crazy, elevation is also not updated (see second link) - is that correct? I though the altimeter works independently of the GPS signal?

The watch doesn't crash during the run. Yesterday I was checking the GPS signal all the time, and at the time I see big inaccuracies there were 4 blue bars visible, so the signal was good.

Is that also something that you experience as well? Any tricks I can apply?
  • You are running with tree cover. What is the problem with the first file?
  • The problem with the first file is the same as with the other ones - horrible accuracy - if you zoom in a bit, then you'll easily see the issue. I was running along the road and then going back without stepping into the woods for 100 meters.

Such tree cover should not be an issue for GPS:
    - I've never had such issues with my previous GPS watch (TomTom)
    - GPS signal was at least good over the whole course (never below 4 blue bars as clearly mentioned above)
    - there are areas with almost no tree cover (like 1:08:00 to 1:09:00), but the issue is clearly visible over there
    - the similar course with the same tree cover below and (surprise) - no issue
