Forerunner 45 crashing

For the last few months my watch seems to crash while on a run. It happens at the 3km point of a run, then the watch turns off. Everytime i try to continue my running activity the watch will switch off.

The power is charged and it doesn't seem to be a time thing - the "run" can last hours but if i have not exceeded the 3km then everything still works fine.

Does anybody know if this issue can be resolved?

Garmin - AL The same thing happens with my son's 45s watch. Has anyone found a solution? I'm now trying a factory reset, and I'm also uploading and synchronizing it from a computer. Just in case. Today it didn't even allow me to save and after a 3 km crash it kept crashing.

There isn't a way to see all activities' Max HR natively in Connect. You can see your Max HR reporting here, in 1 week, 4 week, 6 week, and 1 year increments: https://connect.garmin.com/app/report/13/all/last_seven_day

Recovery status only visible on watch

Why is it not possible to see my recovery status in the Garmin app? On the watch, it is visible, so now I have to switch to my watch every time I want to know the recovery status (hours to normal training). I would like to see this feature in the app, it is strange because all the other data from the watch is visible in the app.

My watch is stuck on odd screens. Originally I was getting the dreaded triangle, but after restarting, I now get ones that say:

Backlight 13%

Beep frequency 4000

Vibration Test

A bunch of concentric color squares

GPS test acceleramator

esn with a qr code thing.

etc.

Help!

Thanks. My race predictor was working fine previously, I didnt change anything, still logging my runs, my V02 Max still being monitored, just not my race predictor.

Hi all, My race predictor on the app(phone) and laptop is not updating with any new data for the past 6 weeks, despite running consistently. On the actual watch, it seems to be stuck around the time of my last race in April so a long was off in terms of prediction. I have tried to resync watch, turned on and off etc.

It stayed on that screen for hours despite trying to power off the watch several times today.
every time it turned back on it went back to diagnostic report mode. Then 4 hours later after not touching it I started getting notifications on it and then the regular screen came back on.
it has been switching off for a few days now, and also staying stuck on the garmin triangle as well. Not sure what is happening with my watch

ilitera and 3951404 that screen that you are talking about is the diagnostic mode report. To get out of that mode you would need to press and hold the top left button for 30 seconds to power the watch off then use the same button to turn it back on.

Mine started randomly shutting down and now I am getting random screens. Did you ever find a solution?

Thanks for the post, 5328646 . There could be a few different things happening here.

We recommend viewing this Support Center article, which outlines what all goes into determining race prediction times: How Are Race Prediction Times Determined on My Watch?

You'll also want to be sure that your watch and Connect app are both up to date. If you've done a master reset at any time between April and now, that can also impact your race time updating.

justin.sane Since it is not found on the device you wouldn't be able to recover the data for the Connect app. I would recommend to sync with Garmin Express in the future to help with updates.

I've just completed a software update on my Forerunner 55 and it lost all activities' data since last update (4 weeks), including steps and sleep. At the same time, it shows correct weekly and monthly totals. Is there any chance to recover lost data?

The data's lost both on the watch and in the app. During previous updates it lost some data (e.g. steps) but this time everything's gone.

I tried, it didn't work. I also tried with different headphones, ones with usb connection to the phone, and I get the same problem. The strange thing is that the blockage only happens in lap1, after that, if I disconnect the headphones and connect again.then the prompt for lap1 comes in, and for the rest of laps it works ok. Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing a strange issue that started this week.

During my run, when I reach Lap 1, the music volume lowers as it normally does before the lap audio prompt is played. However, the lap prompt never plays, and the music remains permanently at the lower volume.

I discovered a temporary workaround: if I disconnect my Bluetooth headphones at that moment, the missed lap prompt immediately plays through the phone speaker. After reconnecting the headphones, the music volume returns to normal and all subsequent lap prompts work correctly for the rest of the activity.

This has happened on my last two runs and is 100% reproducible so far.

My watch, Garmin Connect app, and phone are all running the latest available software. I've been using the headphones for months, without any problems with the lap prompts.

Has anyone experienced the same issue recently? Is there a known fix, or could this be a regression in a recent Garmin Connect update?
