Is HRM Pro compatible with forerunner 45?

I'd like to find out whether all the ANT+ garmin products can connect to the HRM Pro, thinking of buying a forerunner 45 as a cheaper alternative to the 745 for tri-athlone training.

It will connect to the HRM-Pro, but only as a simple HR strap. The post-workout hr download and running dynamics will NOT work with the FR45.

Also bear in mind, that contrary to the FR745, the FR45 doesn't have a multisport mode (for brick workouts and triathlon) nor open water swimming mode.
