Incorrect pace alert?

A few days ago i bought a Forerunner 45 watch. I'm new to this series..
I started a workout plan "Garmin Coach 5K"

First I started with a benchmark run and today I did my first exercise.

While I was running the watch kept alerting me "slower"

On the top screen there was a pace around 5 - 6 min/km and my current pace was 7.

This was my workout of today, i think the white bar is the desired speed?
So i'm running to slow i think.. Why was the watch alerting me to run slower..

  • I'm not familiar with these coach programs. And it's not clear when exactly the slower alert was appearing. But we can notice that at some moments you went faster than the recommended pace, right?

  • Yes correct, and i slowed down, you can see it on the graph. But after slowing down i still got the messages. My FR was set up in Dutch. I changed it now to English. Today i'm planed to do a new run, hopefully it shows me the right tempo.

Otherwise I will take some photos and again the graph.

  • Got it figured out, the watch was programmed in Dutch, when the message apears "sneller" it means in Dutch "go faster" but in reality or in Garmin language it means "je gaat te snel" or in english "you are to fast". After putting the watch in English the message "ahead" and "behind" makes more sense.
