Light goes on (but it shouldn't)

Since firmware 2.60 I have the phenomenon that the light goes on when I go to the statistics widget (where heart rate, stress level and body battery are listed) and then press "start" (which shows the heart rate measurements from the last 4h). As I said, then the light goes on. But it shouldn't.

Maybe anyone else can confirm this?

I just received my FR45 today and immediately updated to FW 2.60. My backlight goes on when I go to any widget with a chart, like HR or body battery. I don't need to press start to see the chart of turn on the backlight. I can't see any way to turn it off.

You're right. I just added the HR widget to the widget loop. As you said, the light goes on as soon as I go to this widget.

For me this looks like a bug. Garmin?

I've also set the backlight to be off with key presses but it continues to come on. annoying as it will severly impact battery life. Sort it out garmin.

Under System>Backlight>Not During Activity

do you have it set off for "Gesture"?

Yes. Off for gesture too. it doesnt do it in the menu but as soon as you cycle the main screens HR/ steps / weather / etc. It comes on.

It is the HR or body battery graph widget that triggers it. Also starting an activity (when searching for GPS) triggers it.

Sad to see the issue has no been addressed / fixed in 2.80! Come on Garmin! you know about it!
