Auto Lap

Hi, my new FR45 is good, but Auto Lap is not working correctly.

After 1 mile, it will tell me the time taken (very briefly) and then the distance.

Same for mile 2 and mile 3.

For mile 4 onwards it only shows the distance and not the time.

Sometimes it does not show the time taken at all, only the distance, even though Auto Lap is turned on.

Seems like a bug and I am not sure if this is the best place to raise it with the developers for fixing?

Update: after lots of liaison with Garmin Support over Twitter, I received a replacement device under warranty yesterday.

Hopefully fixed, but will find out when I next go for a run.

Hi. I’ve got exactly the same problem as Paul Fixter. Is there a solution or do I need to contact Garmin support?

There was no solution for me - after liaising with Garmin Support, I had to send the watch back and they sent me a replacement. All OK now with the replacement device, but the root cause was not fixed as such.
