Forerunner 35 stuck on Skip? Yes/No

I was charging my forerunner 35 from a powerpoint and I just returned to it and it is stuck on Skip? it offers two options Yes / No however the buttons are unresponsive. I have attempted to connect it by USB to my laptop and run the gamin software however it is still unresponsive.

Anyone know a hard reset option? Or should I unscrew it (non preferred option)

Did you try a hard shutdown-restart?

My Garmin Fitness Device Appears to Be Frozen or Locked Up

Device will not respond to button or screen presses

Press and hold the power button until the display goes blank. You will then need to power the device on normally. If the device fails to respond and appears to be powered off, plug the device into a power source and then try holding the power button for about 10-20 seconds, or until it powers on.
