Heart rate data no longer collected on Forerunner 35. The watch setting is ON to collected heart info.

Using a Forerunner 35 watch. The heart rate data no longer collected. The setting on the watch is set to ON.  This function had been functioning since I bought the watch. It just stopped. Any suggestions?
