Forerunner 35 broken after update, planned obsolescence?

hi dears,

i've got a FR 35 since 3 yrs now

the latest update broke almost any aspecf of it, and when i looked at threads here i see i'm not alone! the issues are for example:

  • to stop an activity -> button does not work (and it's not an hardware issue since it does not work only in this case)
  • activities are lost and not synced (lost more than 60km of cycling...)
  • any language but english is lost, not a big issue, but why?
  • sometimes it stays in a freeze state and you have to wait for the battery to be over for restarting it
  • other small glitches referred to buttons not working properly but only under some conditions

is this the Garmin version of planned obsolescence?

it was working fine since the beginning, one or two months ago i recevied a firmware update that made the watch useless.

really disappointed, warranty period is over of course, so I believe it will go through electronic assets disposal process...
