Garmin forerunner 35 started charging then died

My Garmin forerunner 35 is a troop, well was a trooper. The battery died over the weekend. Once I got it on a charger earlier today it seemed to be just fine, until I noticed an hour or 2 later that the screen was off. After it was pluged in, I checked it and synced it to my phone. Everything was fine. Once I noticed the screen was off, I tried to turn it on but nothing happened. The only thing that happens it when I hold the "back" or #4 button I get the start up "Garmin logo". I have held down the buttons, tried different chargers, nothing seems to work. After about 10 seconds the "Garmin logo" goes away and I am back to square 1. Any idea of a fix without getting a new one? I do really like my 35 and have worn it 24/7 for almost 2 years without an issue.
