Speed showing flat on bike ride

On Garmin connect my speed chart is completely flat. When loaded onto Strava it’s showing correctly though. Is this a big on Garmin Connect or on the watch? Any way to fix it?

  • Post the fit file here zipped

    We can have a look.

  • There is no Speed Data in the File. All Zeroes

Possibly you have a Speed Sensor on your bike paired to the device. The Speed Sensor Might be Faulty.

You can Manually Download GPX from Strava and Manually  Upload to Garmin Connect. (Do Not Download Original)

  • Wow that makes no sense. How is speed showing in Strava then?

also, when I go for a run the data is captured fine, and there’s no speed sensor on the bike...

  • Strava Calculates It from GPS Location Data. (Does Not Need Speed Info)

If It's Done this more than once then.

I suggest a Reset on the Watch  or Contact Garmin Support.

  • Thanks - much appreciated.  It's the second time this happened, so I'll give it another shot before contacting Garmin Support.  Thanks for your help.

  • You're Welcome.

Here is a record with good speed Info and heart rate but no cadense.
