FIT file wont upload to Garmin Connect

Hi, I've been out on an activity today and the file wont load to Garmin Connect. I've tried the mobile app which normally works fine, also connected to laptop using USB also no good. The activity is showing in my FR35 history, but I'm getting a message saying some files could not be uploaded GARMIN\ACTIVITY\B1H94830.FIT (unsupported file type). Can anyone tell me how I get this fixed, it was a long bike ride (for me), really disappointed. Thanks

You're Welcome.

Maybe the Memory is getting Full.

Delete All Old Fit Files from the /Garmin/Activity Folder.

Clean it out once a week.

Same problem here I think! I'd be really grateful if someone could help...?

I'm not sure how to insert the files here as I have them saved on my Desktop, and it asks for a URL...

Any help appreciated!

Hi I am another person with the same problem. I have tried fixing it myself using the methods suggested in the forums but I still can't seem to get it to work. Would anybody be willing to assist? File attached. Thanks in advance.

This will work for you - B1U83456-fixed.zip

Unzip the file then import into Garmin Connect using the import data page.

Repaired using Fit File Repair Tool.

Some tips to help minimize the occurrence of corrupt fit files:

Keep the number of files in the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder on the device’s file system to a minimum using these directions: Removing Recorded Activities on a Garmin Fitness Device If you delete the files in your activity folder with a Mac computer, then empty the trash folder before you unplug your device from the computer.
Try to avoid excessive button presses during your activity.
Regularly check for firmware updates.
If issues with corrupt files persist, contact Garmin Support.

I can tell you from fixing a lot of fit files, that the bulk of these are coming from the Forerunner 35. #2 worst device is the Venu. It's rare to see someone having these problems with any other new Forerunners or fenix.
